I understand you will move my website(s) files, but what about making sure the website works exactly as it did before the move?

When you relocate your website to a new web host you need to do it properly, so it works exactly as it did before. That involves much more than copying the directory where your web site is located to its new location. How long does a move take?

Single personal websites can typically be moved within a few hours. Larger moves including small resellers and full hosting companies will vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of their accounts. In most cases all larger moves can be completed within 30 days or less.

How much will this cost?

The cost of a single website move can be as little as $59.95 moves and will increase depending on the additional services your require (shopping carts, cgi-scripts, mySQL databases, mailing lists etc.). Is moving my account(s) worth it?

What types of control panels can you work with?

WebSiteMovers is experienced with CPanel, Ensim, Plesk, Alabanza, HSphere and many more control panels. We can work with just about any custom control panel your site(s) are currently using. In most cases we do cross-platform moves, that is, we move from one control panel to a completely different control panel. If you or your clients aren't satisfied with their current control panel we can accomodate migrations to something more suitable.

What kind of guarantee do you provide?

WebSiteMovers guarantees that your site(s) will work exactly as they do now on your new shared or dedicated hosting location. If for some reason you aren't satisfied with the move, we will point your site back to your old provider and refund any and all fees paid.  WebSiteMovers offers 10 days of helpdesk support after the completion of any migration if for some reason you don't notice an error on your site after the move is complete.

I will be giving you confidential information including my site(s) content, client lists, root access to my servers, etc. How can I be sure this information will be kept confidential?

WebSiteMovers signs a confidentiality agreement with every client we move. We have moved over 100,000 sites in 2003. We do not sell our client lists, the email addresses of those who contact us or information about your personal or web hosting company.

I wish to move my website but I do not know where I should move it, do you have suggestions?

WebSiteMovers has a number of hosting companies we've affiliated with who provide excellent service. Please go to our affiliates page for links to those affiliate websites. We try not to directly get involved with your decision making process while choosing a new host.

How can I pay?

WebSiteMovers accepts payments via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover).  We also accept bank wire transfers and check payments.  We must receive a deposit before service commences.

My web host is also my developer.  I'm a bit anxious about leaving them because I know nothing about updating my web site or how it runs.  Can you help?

This is all to common a scenario.  Many of our clients call with a nightmare scenario where service or downtime have become non-existent from their existing designer/host and they don't know where to turn.  WebSiteMovers can not only assist you in getting your site away from your old designer/host to a 3rd party provider but we can take over the administrative of your old webmaster in very short order.  If you wish to continue to use us for webmaster like tasks or have us automate your site so you can perform many of the tasks you're paying for on a monthly basis we'll be happy to assist.

My website is a heavily used e-commerce site, we cannot afford to be down for even 1 minute.  Can you transfer it without ANY downtime?

WebSiteMovers guarantees no downtime during your e-commerce site migration.  We will not touch the existing hosting platform during the migration process except to make a copy of any databases and files on the existing host.  We will then begin our thorough testing process and once we're ready to point the site to the new server we'll sync your database(s) to prevent data loss after transfer.
