At this time we will process your service fee payment, and setup your migration project in our SupportSuite helpdesk system. You will soon be receiving an email to activate your SupportSuite account, so make sure to check your ‘Spam’ folder and create your account as soon as possible. All migration project correspondence will take place in SupportSuite.
Here is a checklist of information we will ask you to provide for our migration technicians:
- Locations, user names and passwords for your current web server hosting account and your new web server hosting account
- List of user names and passwords for any database(s) running on your website
- If you are running an E-commerce site with SSL encryption, you will need to contact your SSL license provider to let them know you are transferring the certificate to a new web server, and we will need to know the license key to install and activate it there
- Your DNS registrar (website domain name registration company) access information to point your domain name to the new server when the migration is complete
Please note! It is very important to refrain from making any changes whatsoever to your website while your migration is underway.
When our preliminary migration is complete, we will provide you with detailed instructions to access and test your website at the new server, prior to synching the databases (as applicable) and pointing DNS to make your website ‘live’ at the new server.
Unless you have chosen and approved fee payment for our Phone Support service option, all project correspondence will take place in SupportSuite. However, if you find that you must reach our support team, you may do so by calling 888-899-7940 ext. 2 on Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM EST. Please note, additional fees may apply.
